Training Log

So today was a good day.
I ran 2.7 miles!! Woohoo! I am slowly clawing my way back onto the wagon. Puerto Rico is coming up and I want to buy a new bathing suit but I refuse to even look for one until Im back in training shape. Sonny is finishing up his financial aid stuff for loans for med school. We went to Emory Revisited last week and it was wonderful. I came down on Thursday and Sonny was there Wed through Friday. I learned a lot and it helped me see what he would be doing and where and how much I needed to be a strong support for him. I dont feel like a passive observer to his dream anymore; I am the engine in his shiny car. I realized last week that I need to work on making our home calm and stress free so he can study and relax. After the intensive days he is going to have, he is going to need it!! They have these amazing simulation mannequins and virtual reality laproscopy devices on the first floor by the cadaver lab that are amazing!! Im going to bribe him to take me down there a few times to watch him working on them--it will be so neat. All the students I met were super nice to me and Dr Lee, the Multicultural Student Services director made me feel like I was one of them. Im excited for us to start!!

On a side note, as I was leaving an office today, a guy around my age was sitting in the waiting room and said "You have a good day, beautiful" to me, as I passed by him. I was so surprised and embarrased that I just stammered a shy "thanks". I love Sonny, however its nice to still get noticed by guys (young guys, not leering old men which seems to happen to me a lot), even though Im an old married woman. :) I've still got it!!
